Leaders in Training WE with Frankfurt International School / 29-31 January 2010

‘Leaders in training’ is a course designed to stretch individuals out of their comfort zone into an area of learning and personal growth. Through a series of physical challenges, problem solving games and personal reflections students are given opportunities to identify how their behavior and personal beliefs affect their success as a leader and their role within a team.

The weekend was a combined effort between Le Rosey and Frankfurt International School, where the same number of students from each school participate. Having students from different backgrounds broadens the range of conflict situations and highlights differences in behavior which gives the opportunity for conflict resolving and to create friendships.

On Friday 5th of May students from Le Rosey made a musical visit to Rolle hospital. Last time we visited, some four years ago, some of our Art students had created a mural to brighten the main stairway, and this was a welcome opportunity to continue our relationship. Since that time the hospital has become a centre specialising in respiratory illness. Between singers, violinists, flutists, pianists, guitarists, drummers and students who simply came to spend a little time with the patients in the audience, 22 students participated in the event..... and enjoyed an ice cream at Venezia afterwards...
